Improving Your Happiness

Sometimes finding your happiness can be distracted by the world, other people, or even by things you do yourself. There are many things that YOU YOURSELF can do to improve your happiness starting right now.

One of the biggest things that you have to do to make yourself happy is to know that before you can make everyone else happy, you have to take care of yourself. People are always hesitant when they hear these words, because it can be viewed as selfish. Sometimes, this can require you to take big steps in your life, but once you take them you realize it was one of the best decisions you have made. You have to learn to take the negative out of your life, whether that be people, things, or situations. If you are constantly surrounded by complaining. blaming, and bad attitudes, you will never truly reach your happiness. Surround yourself with people who love you, uplift you, and support you. Not people who drag you down and lessen your worth. GOD CREATED YOU WITH A PURPOSE, GO FIND THAT PURPOSE!

"For WE are God's masterpiece. He has CREATED us ANEW in Christ Jesus, so we can do the GOOD things he PLANNED for us long ago." Ephesians 2:10

We must also learn that it is okay to not be perfect. Make mistakes... but let those mistakes drive you to GO BEYOND. Let them improve you and fuel you for greater things. Christ knows your purpose and has one for you, but you have to work for it and not let mistakes and failures drag you down. He knows you will you have bumps in the road, but He also knows you can overcome them or else He would not give them to you. Pray daily that He will help you through your challenges and that He will help you grow as a person. Your relationship with Christ IS the most important. Do not let the distractions get in between you and Him.

One thing you can do to improve your happiness is to live with positive thoughts and sayings. Think of a "mantra" (word or phrase) to live by. Mine of course is BEYOND. Each morning I get up I tell myself to go BEYOND that day in everything I do. One of my biggest things is to never settle for less. I would rather go the extra mile, (even if that means failing the first time), than stop at what is "just enough". There are many other words and phrases that can help you improve your happiness. Some might include:

1. LET GO

2. Relax and Breathe

3. I've Got This

4. Pray About It

5. Take it to God

6. Listen to Your Heart

7. Know Your Worth

8. God's Got Me

9. BE HAPPY

10. NEVER Give Up

There are so many more than this that you can use to improve your happiness. The main thing you have to do is actually listen to yourself and follow through with it. You can say to yourself all day, "never give up", but it never actually means anything until you do it. Do not let those words be just words, let them be actions.

Lastly, find a passion. This passion can include helping others, finding a hobby, or even your job. No matter what your passion is, make sure that it has a positive influence within your life. If it is not making you happy, find something new. Not only can having a passion improve your happiness, but it can also have so many benefits to come with it.

All in all, learn to be happy... life is way too short to not live every moment with a joyful heart. Never say that you will improve your happiness later, you are never guaranteed tomorrow.

Quotes & Bible Verses To Help You

"When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul." Psalm 94:19

"Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present." Jim Rohn

“Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself – no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are – completely; the good and the bad – and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.” Stacey Charter
