Stereotyping Beauty

Beauty is a subject that should honestly, be quite simple. However, through the years as I have grown up, I have seen the definition of beauty being a controversial subject.

Some people are taught and believe that beauty is something that consist of just our natural selves. This meaning no make-up or "touch-ups" and I fully believe that people are beautiful when they are completely natural, however the problem that has been bothering me, is that idea that if people wear make-up, than it is not true beauty. I understand that people who are "natural" everyday do get stereotyped as well, but no one actually ever confronts the idea of people who wear make-up getting stereotyped.

This is what I have a hard problem with. It is NOT okay to shame anyone for their preference of wearing make-up or not wearing it at all. WE should all support each other in the same way and see each other as beautiful in any way. Make-up models will get judged, having things said about them, like that they are only beautiful because of their make-up and they don't have "true" beauty.

***NEWS FLASH***

TRUE BEAUTY is not being natural with your make-up or being extravagant with it. TRUE BEAUTY has to do with how you shine as a person. How you carry yourself and how you use your purpose is what true beauty is.

When I first was thinking of what to write for this blog, one person is particular came to mind.... Talia Castellano

This is Talia Castellano... she was a Covergirl and became a social media star for her make up tutorials through her diagnoses of neuroblastama and leukemia. On her YouTube channel she would discuss her disease and she always lived a shining life that would inspire anyone who ever saw her.

This is my point through Talia.... she LOVED to do make-up, and she was very good at it. She loved do dramatic looks, just as the picture above, but people did not regard her make-up as to what made her beautiful. What people saw that made her beautiful was her personality; her striving fight through sickness, and her positive attitude. THIS is how accepting we should be of everyone with make-up.

When you see someone who wears a lot of make-up, do not automatically think that they are not naturally beautiful, because ultimately that make-up has nothing to do with their beauty. Their beauty is what makes them, THEM... their personality, their drive, and their purpose. WE must stop stereotyping people who wear make-up. Just to be straight on, even if you prefer to not wear make-up, that does not make you "more beautiful" than someone else and someone who wears make-up is not "more beautiful" than you who does not wear make-up. Find your beauty in what makes you, YOU!

#liveBEYOND the stereotypes that are so well-known and let's stop judging people for their preference of their make-up. DEFEND everyone and unite as one through the power of beauty.
